Ready, Willing . . . Enable!
Adam Dickreiter has served on the board of directors of Ready, Willing . . . Enable! since 2009.
Ready, Willing . . . Enable! (RWE) recognizes that education is a fundamental right and that all persons, regardless of ability, should have access to educational opportunities. Ready, Willing . . . Enable! (RWE) also believes that family members of persons with disabilities should have access to information about the disability of their loved ones and that communities should embrace that “disability is not inability.” RWE provides training and resources to children with disabilities in countries such as Dominica, Mexico, and Paraguay who are often denied education, jobs, and social status. RWE has equipped classrooms with computers, a Brailler, and school supplies; provided training to staff working with persons with disabilities; and made grants to keep the only wheelchair-accessible vehicle in Dominica in operation.
Alpha Home
In memory of one of our loyal employees, who worked with us for almost ten years and passed away in 2021, we have donated to Alpha Home.
The mission of Alpha Home is to offer a pathway of help, hope, and healing through spiritually-based drug and alcohol treatment and support. For over 55 years, Alpha Home has been committed to treating the whole person – not just the addiction – by caring, qualified professionals. By incorporating core values of Spirituality, Compassion, Integrity, and Respect into the treatment approach, they focus on providing the resources for every client to build a future of long-term recovery.
San Antonio Youth Literacy
Understanding the importance of literacy to every child’s long-term success, Bookkeeping Solutions is a sponsor of San Antonio Youth Literacy.
San Antonio Youth Literacy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides one-to-one reading assistance to elementary children. Its mission is to provide one-on-one support to children in San Antonio, by empowering them with the skills needed to learn to read while fostering self-confidence and an enjoyment of reading. Its vision is that every child in South Texas enters 3rd grade reading at level. According to San Antonio Youth Literacy, research shows that young children who are not fluent readers by the end of 3rd grade may never catch up to their peers.
